The Archives

The Archives of Rural History is unique in its dedication to systematically searching for documentary records relating to the agricultural sector and to rural society in the 19th and 20th centuries. Once archival material (minute books, correspondence, photographs, posters etc.) has been collected we arrange and sort the records into files and pack these into boxes. Each collection has its own personal catalogue or list that functions as the key to identifying the individual items contained in the collection. All catalogues are listed in our database ‘Records of Rural History’.
