Online-Portal People and Institutions

The portal People and Institutions contains information on about 12,000 people and about 800 institutions from the agricultural and food sector. The entries are linked to each other as well as to additional text and film material outside the portal. This not only makes connections between institutions and individuals visible, but also reveals fields of activity and professional-family networks. In other words, the entries in the portal lead to people and institutions, but at the same time point far beyond them.

Online-Portal on filmmaking in rural Europe

In order to secure, systematise and publish the information on agrarian filmmaking contained in many archive holdings, the ARH, together with partner institutions at the European level, operates a database that contains both the title and metadata on the agrarian film productions known to date. The database of the ARH and the European Rural History Film Association (ERHFA) lists several thousand films including metadata from Europe and the USA. Around 1,100 of these films have been digitised and are accessible online via the ARH-ERHFA-Online-Portal.

Online-Portal Image sources for animal work

Working animals played an important role from the 18th to the mid-20th century both in the city and in the countryside, as can be seen not least from numerous pictorial sources. A selection of the images recorded and described in the ARH's internal database "Working Animals" is publicly accessible via the online-portal. The image sources are grouped according to topics and the institutions that have the images and make them available to the public via the ARH portal.
